    During week 2, when I entered to class I was feeling so happy. When the lecturer came to class we as students welcomed her and then the lecturer started with the new lesson. First of all the lecturer asked some questions about the previous lesson that whether we understood or no, and most of the students answered the questions and then, the lecturer started to persuade us a lot and to try much more harder in the future. Then we started with our new lesson. Week 2 was all about sources, different types of dictionaries and databases. First we studied Primary, Secondary and Tertiary sources. Furthermore, before starting our new lesson the lecturer evaluated us by some questions that how we understand about this new lesson and what are our ideas about this lesson. Subsequently, the lecturer told us about these lessons. We have taught that Primary source is an original object or document, first-hand information. Such as: diaries, letters, memories, journals, speeches, interviews and so on so forth. Secondary source is something written about a primary source. Usually the author of a secondary source will have studied the primary source. Such as: journals, books, radio TV documentaries and so on. Tertiary source is the distillation and collection of primary and secondary sources. Such as: bibliographies of bibliography, directories of directories, guides to the literature and so on.

These are known as Primary Sources.

These are known as Secondary Sources.

     

    Moreover, the lessons were so interesting and we have learned all those materials which we haven’t known before. It was really helpful and useful information for all the students. Move along, we started with next lesson about library that what is Library and what are library services. The lecturer taught and gave us much more information about Library and its services. Library services such as: book lending, reading room, printing, photocopy, information search, multimedia collection and on. After we taught by our lecturer all the students were able to know what is library and what are their services. Next, we studied about encyclopedia, dictionaries, glossary, lexicon, thesaurus vocabulary and so on. She has shown all the differences and its usage.

    To sum up it, it was a wonderful, awesome and interesting week. We have gained and seek much more information about all these lessons which we haven’t know before. We are really thankful to our lecturer who is helping, trying and guiding us in our lessons.

 "FIRST WEEK

    The holidays have gone and we started with our foundation with new spirits and new hopes.  During week 1 we haven’t focused much more on our lessons because, it was the first week. On the first day of class we had an introduction with student and our lecturer after introduction we were able to get knew each other. I was feeling very exhilarated on the first day of class. Then, the lecturer gave us some information about the subject that what Information Literacy is all about. As it is strange for me that I am facing with a subject called Information Literacy and I m-self really interested in this subject and I wish I could learn more about this subject. Furthermore, we learned that what Information Literacy is all about. We learned that Information Literacy is a framework for solving problems and it is the skill how to find the information. Then, we have taught by some examples. Such as: Library literacy, Media literacy, Computer literacy, Research literacy, Internet literacy, Critical thinking literacy. I have learned all these lessons which i haven't know before. The first  of class was very wonderful and exciting. 

    Moreover, on the second day of first week we studied the Big 6 process. Big is a six stage process to help anyone solve problems or make decisions by using information. Then we studied “Information Literacy Process Model” Information literacy process models are - Task Definition, Information seeking strategies, Location and access, Use of Information, Synthesis and the last is Evaluation. These all steps can help us much more when we are having a problem. By applying this process on a problem can solve the problem and give the result positive.

    Last but not least, on the third day of first week we had a Lib session. We went to the lib and the lecturer give us some information about the lib that for what we are coming to lib, what is our aim for coming to lib and so on… Then, the lecturer give us some information about the “Blogger” that how to make a new a blog, how to post in blog and so on … I was feeling very happy and we got familiar with computer lib.

    To sum up it, it was a very happy and wonderful week. We learned much more things and I wish it would help us much more in our daily life. The information which we were taught by our lecturer was very useful and meaningful.
